He received the Military Medal for bravery lin action at Valenciennes and was commisioned as T.,$entOiant and thonottrably discharged in November 1919. He sessas •employed by the Essek Packing Company in Windsor, as salesman for many years, He was married ito Julia Oretta, Parkes in June 1934. He was., a member of the Masonic Order. During the years between the wars he contin- ued CO active interest in the Canad- ian Army Resenee. At the outbreak of World War 2 he enlisted as Lieutenant in tire Veterans Guard of Canada.
