citizens In the passing of James I
Meradzean at the Scott Memorial
Hospital Seaforth. He was born
near Walton 91 years ago; the eon
of a family of eervieh. Stirvireihg, is
one briother Robert of Seaforth with
whom he made his home the last
'four year.s, and one sister (Janet)
Mrs, Wm. Shorteed of Clinton.
He was Married in 1901 to Eliza-
beth Melon who pre-deceased him
14 yeas ago. An only daughter,
Anna aim Tre_deceascl him.
In early life he farmed in Grey
Township and was active in the
school board and Municipal count%

reeve. Later he moved to Brussels
where he berried' on an instraance
business for aver 30 years: He took
a deep interest In the work of Mel-
vilie Presbyterian Mullah, serving
on the managing board for a. mitn.
