G OD MECHANIZATION PAYS BY GETTIKG
LOT DONE WHEN CONDITIONS ARE RIGHT
A big advantage of good mechanization is its ability to get a lot of
work done in a hurry once you Can get on the land to put the crop in
or into a field ready to be harvested. This work output of gopd equip-
ment pays off in two ways—it enables you to offset or forestall the
effects of unfavorable conditions and with it you can make the most
of the period when conditions are most favorable. You stand to
benefit the most when you can do a lot of seeding or harvesting
when the time is right, ac>r •
From the 1956 Massey-i-Tarris and Ferguson lines of equipment
engineered to meet the needs of farming today you can select machines
that will enable you to gain the advantages of modern mechanization
—your local dealer' will be glad to give you full particulars.

FRINGES
THE COST of an 'hour's work in business includes: some
money that the employee doe.9 not get immediately.
In addition to the hourly. wage, there is the 'Money the
employer must set aside for vacations with pay, for
statutory holidays and for unemployment insuranoe; in
the case of many companies there is talsio the money
oequired for hospital and medical eare, for penstionsi and
other "fringes".
Many people, including 'those self-employed, must
themselves, salve for 'their holidays and their future needs
and desires. On the other hand, people, who work in
some large enterprises for salaries Or `wages apparently
prefer to have their employer set aside for 'them money
for such purposes.
Fringe benefits are savings for ,the benefit of the
employees and a substantial expense for the employers.
They are part of the cost of an hour's work which must
be recovered from customers in selling prices,
