The Queen was crowned and e'en-

Parade
A crowd, estimated at 0,000 wee
on hand to view a niagnificient par-
ade which ateeectee a hundred
entries of beautiful .floats, clowns,
homes and •riders„ aetique vehicles,
horse-drawn ,vehicles, kiddies on
trilces and bikes and in a dog-drawn
cart, and people In costumes of all
kinds. Floats featured pioneer homes,
t)ople and scenes, square dance
groupe, huge bletlulay cakes, live
turkeys and racoon, and beautiful
girls, among other things.
A long-time resident expressed her
.enthusireetn in the words "the beet
parade 1 have. ever seen 'here".
The music of Goderich Girls Tram-
pet Band led the parade to the park.
Other bands taking part in tile
parade were Seaforth Nighlandert
,Belgrave and Brussels Pipe. Bantle
-and Wingleam Boys and Girls Lions.
Band. The parade was provided with
police • escort and an official oar
carried L. B. Cardiff, M. P.; John
Hanna,, M, L, A.; J. Fischer, Warden
of Huron, r.Dhe Reeve and councillors
of Morris, and township officials
followed ip a horse drawn convey-

A drizzling rain fell intermittently
but threating skies cleared early„in
the afternoon.
Official Opening
The official opening was held iin-
mediately following the parade.
James Miobie, Centennial president,
welcomed all and introduced Hon.
Justice Irwin Peirgnson, native of
Morris born, and raised :on the 5th.
