They tell of the pitiful plight of hundreds of starving moose in the Matanuska Valley. This huge army of half !starved creatures is foraging for food along the Glen highway, on the outskirts 'of Anchorage and Pal- mer. They have even invaded the main streets of Palmer and are camp; ing out around the houses, The hungerenaddenel animals have been ; knocking down farm fences foraging for food. The plight of the moose is consider'-' I ed desperate: It Is reported that two ! scientists are working full time to to determine what to do in tanned- 1 ion with the moose problem.
