Catholic Women's League
was a success, thanks to the
community who Supported
us. Winners of our draw
were: 1st prize, quilt, Mrs.
George Blake, Brussels. 2nd
prize, turkey, Mri Jim Har-
nack Sr., St. Clements. 3rd
prize, bushel of apples, Mrs.
Gary Elston, Brussels.

however, we gave a single
candy cane. The remainder of
the money went to the Save A
Family Plan in India, to
purchase a milking goat, for a
poor family. This gift may not
be appreciated in this
country, but in India they are
considered the "poor man's
cow". A good milk goat costs

man's 63rd wedding anniver-
sary which was Dec. 19th.

great demand. They multiply
rapidly, usually giving birth
to two kids each delivery.
It is hoped that through
actions like this, our children
will appreciate the true mean-
ing of Christmas to" the
fullest. Their small sacrifice
of less candy will help an
entire family from now on.
