POPE'S FOUNDRY — This postcard shows Pope's Foundry located •
where the Topnotch building is today. Standing to the rear of the ditching
machine.are Richard and Harold Cardiff. Sitting on the back wheel is
blacksmith Tom Ritchie and standing beside -him is blaCksmith Peter
Scott. Ernie Cardiff is sitting on the front wheel of the machine. Standing " •
are Bill and Charles Pope. Apparently, the
ditcning,,rnaPhine-which was., in Jor repairs is still
operating in Brucefield today. In the centre is
Mr. Pope's model steam tractor which he made
himself and to the right is a steam engine in for
