Gorrie groups. Christmas parties
About 40 Guild ladies,
husbands and friends met in
St. Stephen's Lower hall for
their annual Christmas party.
A pot luck dinner began
with hot turkey and roast beef
with their trimmings and
concluded with a delicious
smorgasbord dessert table.
Following supper, several
games of cards were enjoyed,
organized by Mrs. Wm. Ben-
nett.
Mrs. Jasper Farrish, pres-
ident of the Guild, introduced
Canon O.J. Laramie, as the
speaker. He spoke to every-
one wishing each and every-
one a Merry Christmas and
the best for the New Year. He
also took the opportunity to
speak about World Wide
Missions. "Should we only be
satisfied to keep our own bills
paid in our own parish?" We
asked to pray about what our
part should be in mission
work for the New Year.
A gift exchange followed
with Mrs. Wayne King acting
as Santa Claus. Everyone
enjoyed the Christmas music
and a small dance, compli-
ments of the newly installed
stereo.
Christmas cake, cookies
and coffee concluded a de-
lightful evening of Christian
love and fellowship.

song of the angels and
respond to it, as did the
shepherds of old," was one of

Mrs. Jas. Robinson, on the
first twenty verses of the
