She was assisted by a representative of Caravan Clothes of Toronto which initiated the show. The November meeting. of Knox Presbyterian Women's Missionary Society, Gorrie, was held at the home of Mrs. Alvin Mundell. President, Mrs. Gordon Muir opened with the verse, "Even though I felt alone God was with me." Hymn, "0 Happy Day that fixed by Choice" was sung Presentation of a life mem- bership was made by the society to Mrs. David Neil- son.Mrs. Wm. Smith read the address and her daughter Heather presented her with the W.M.S. pin on behalf of the family. Mrs. Neilson made a suitable reply. Prayer. was offered by Mrs. Smith. Minutes of the meeting were read and Mrs. Moir and Mrs. Mundell reported on the workshop they attended in Wingham. It was decided to hold the Christmits Bake Sale in the Church basement on Saturday November 28 at 2:30 p.m. The offering was received and dedicated by the Presi- dent. Mrs. Glenn Underwood took the devotional period and read from Romans 5:1-11 "Peace" being the theme for (Photo by Fianney) November. A poem, "We will Remember You" was read and Mrs. Underwood closed with prayer. Mrs. A. Mundell sang, "Let there be Peace on Earth" accompanied by Mrs, Underwood on the piano which was much enjoyed. A new member was wel- corned to the group and the ' installation of officers for 1982, was conducted by Mrs. Isabelle Adams. President- By Rotation; Vice President - Mrs. Jas. This was sponsored by the Hall Board with the next card party on the 7th of December. Mrs. Wardlaw who was a patient in Listowel Hospital is back home again. Fred Wake of Shelburne visited last week with Andrew and Venetta Bremner and Doris. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Davis of Lucan, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gowing of RR2, Bluevale visited with Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Bray on Sunday. Visitors on Sunday with Andrew and Venetta Brem- ner and Doris were Brenda and Fred Phillips of Belfast, and also Mary Bremner and Karen Bremner.
