A social evening was held
in the Belgrave VV.I. Hall last
Monday evening, October
26th in honour of Mr. and
Mrs. Ory al Smith on their
recent marriage. The evening
was spent playing euchre.
Before lunch was served
the newlyweds were called to
the platform. George Mitch-
ell read an address and
presented them with a gift of
money.

for their best wishes.

Janice Dunbar on Saturday
morning at the University of
Western. Ontario. Janice re-
ceived her Bachelor of Arts in
Honours and Anthropology.
Mr. Albert Bacon returned
home on Thursday after be-
ing a patient in Victoria
Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Muil-
wyk of Fonthill called on Mrs.
Helen Martin and Mr. and.
Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse on
Saturday morning.
Last ,Wednesday evening
at the Seaforth Legion the
Huron County Road Super-
intendents held their 17th
Annual Banquet to a large
turn out.
After the dinner Harvey
Dolmage of Seaforth and
Clarence Hanna of East .
Wawanosh were presented
with barometers on their
recent retirements.
The warden of Huron
County Fred Haberer of Zur-
ich brought greetings from
the County and Jack Riddell
M.P.P. of Exeter brought
greetings from Toronto and
also spoke on good communi-
cations he had enjoyed with
road superintendents.
After a short business
meeting the remainder of the
evening was spent in Banc-

Mrs. Willard Armstrong
returned last Thursday from
North Battleford Saskatche-
wan, where she spent two
weeks with her daughter and
son-in-law Joyce and David
Hanna and their family. All
spent a weekend with her
brother and sister-in-law Mr.
and Mrs. William A. Wheat-
ley of LiberlySask.
Dr. Donald, and Mrs. Whit-
field and Jennifer of Sault
Ste. Marie visited this past
week with Mr. and Mrs.
George Michie.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gfas-
by visited on,Sunddy with Mr.
and Mrs. Cecil Armstrong on
Thorndale.
Six tabled were in play at he
Belgrave Weekly Euchre last
Wednesday evening. The
winners were: high , lady-
Mrs. Ella Johnston; Low
lady- Mrs. Herb Clayton;
High man- Lawrence Taylor;
Low man- Lorne Pamieson;
Euchre again next week at 8
p.m. Everyone welcome.
4-Hers entertain
their mothers
4-H members started their
party with grace. They invit-
ed mothers. The members
prepared chicken pies, sa-
lads, relish trays, punch,
devilled eggs and cookies was
our dessert. The mothers
gave a speech about how they
enjoyed the supper. The
members all enjoyed it too.
On Oct. 14 the Brussels II
Chicklets met at the homey of
our leader Mrs. Edna McLel-
lan for their 4th meeting.
Members learned by reading
and a demonstration by our
leader how to separate an
egg. A lesson on how to whip
an egg followed.
After than Suzanne Kings-
bury and Peggy McLellan
began to make a "top hat
souffle." As soon as they got
started members found out
hoW to fold in whipped eggs.
Connie Kingsbury and
Cindy Stute conducted the
"egg-speriment." The group
proceeded to learn the nutrit-
ional facts about the egg.
Members also learned
about what to do with extra
yolks and whites.
All prepared to dig into a
scrumptious souffle topped
off with buns and salad.
