Grey meets teachers Turveys meet in Morris twp

The fall and winter pro-
gram of the Grey Central
Public School Home & School
Association has been an-
nouced. A kindergarten tea
for all parents of the two
kindergarten classes will be
held at the school at 1:30 on
Friday September 26th. On
Wednesday September 30th
a 'Meet the Teacher' night
will be held at 8:15 p.m. This
will provide an opportunity
for parents to find out what
learning areas and subjects
are being taught at each
grade level.
The Wednesday, Novem-
ber 18 meeting will deal with
physical learning disabilities
and where to look for help.
Representatives from the
Huron Board of Education
will be the speakers. Emot-
ional difficulti es in the home
will be the topic of the
February 24 meeting. On
Wednesday March 31 drug
and alcohol abuse will be the
topic. Nutrition is the topic of
the April 28 meeting. The last
two meetings will have
speakers that will address
both the Home and • School

Knox Presbyterian Church
celebrated _their 106th
anniversary on Sunday
morning at eleven o'clock.
Rev. Charles Falconer, a
former minister, now of
Strathroy was guest
preacher.
Mrs. Floyd Herman,
Clinton was soloist and
contributed two numbers and
the coir sang an anthem.
There was a very good
attendance and a social time
followed with refreshments
served in the basement by
the ladies of the church.
Mr. and Mrs. Allan Dunn
and daughter Bonnie of West
Montrose attended the
anniversary service and
visited after with Mr. and
Mrs. Earl Dunn.
The Sacrament of Holy
Joan Miller is treasurer.
Linda Morton is head of the
program committee and
Karen Uhler is in charge of
the membership committee.
The social committee consists
of Linda Minielly and Donna
Saxon.
Communion will be
celebrated in Knox Church
next Sunday, October 4th at
9:45.

at sharply higher prices.
There were 846 cattle and
1466 pigs on offer.

weighing 1240 lbs. sold for
82.25 with his lot of 9 steers
averaging 1288 lbs. selling
for 80.75.

the 19th, thirty-one descen-
dants of the late Robert and
Mary Turvey gathered for a
family reunion at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Turvey
and Sandra on Concession 2,
Morris Township.
Glenna and Ross Panna-
Kitchener, spent several
days with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Engel and
family. Visiting at the same
home on Sunday was Ron
Burdett, Stratford.
