MAC ENGEL 887-6645 Carrie Grisdale spent the past week at the Glenhurott Salvation Army Camp south of Bayfield. Miss Sandra Cameron is employed at the K and W hospital in Kitchener and Roger is working at Steel fabco near Ayr. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mitchell, their son Gordon, and daughters, Mary and Jean of Thorold, attended the funeral of Howard's brother, the late Fred Mitchell, in Meaford on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Bert van Donkergoed have returned from a holiday in Brandon, Manitoba. They tray .eled with their oldest son Gerald, who is going on to Edmonton to finish his final ye ,ar of studies in Agriculture at the University of Alberta. Gerald spent the summer working in the office of the Deputy Minister of Agricul- ture, Agriculture Canada in Ottawa. Mrs. S. Barr, Mr.a nd Mrs. Geo. Smith and children, Scarborough, spent the week- end with Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Stevenson. Miss Nancy Craig, recently of Newfoundland, is spend- ing awhile with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Craig, Blyth, and visited on Sunday with her uncle, Donald Clarke. She plans to work at K. and W hospital, Kitchen- er. Miss Susan Engel spent the past week at Taquanyah Nature Centre, a Resource Management Camp in the Grand River Conservation area near Cayuga. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dunn attended the Machan family picnic in Listowel on Sunday. Ethel Correspondent MRS. CLIFF BRAY 887.6086 A pot-luck supper was held in the Ethel United Church on Sunday by the congrega- tion and friends as a farewell party for Rev. and Mrs. Eric LeDrew. A reading was given by Howard Ellis and George Pearson presented a purse of money. Christine Swiety of Leic- estershire, England and Mrs Carl Gowing and also attend- -ed the Davidson-Cook wed- ding at Lucan. Mrs. Edith Wardlaw of Brantford and Mrs. George Roland of Mt. Bridges visited with Mrs. Wardlaw. Mr. and. Mrs. Stan Alex- ander spent last week at Clover Leaf cottage near Algonquin Park. A pot luck picnic at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Killer in honor of Miss Joanne Miller and friend. Vivian Rigalski, visiting from Edmonton, was held Sunday Aug. 23. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Dale and family, Mr. Larry 'Dalton all of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cooper, Paul and Marilyn, Mr. and Mrs. Don Triebner and family, Mr. and Mrs. Morley Obrey and Trovor all of Exeter. 4ick Deinaray received first class honours in Grade 2 theory.
