Margaret Short- reed was M.C. for the pro- , gram consisting of Elaine and Sharon Brown giving several numbers on their violins, accompanied by their mother Elva at the piano. Tracey Bennett pleased the audience with her danc- Mr. and Mrs. Dick Brad- shaw and family of Dead- wood, Peace River, were calling on former neighbours recently... David Ulch, of North Bay is holidaying with Mr. and ' Mrs. Earl Grisdale. Mrs. Grisdale, Carrie and Kevin visited at North Bay and David came back with them. Carrie remained for a holiday at North Bay. Elwood Campbell, Missis- sauga, called on his cousin Ralph Noble during the ' week. He is a son of the late George Campbell and son-in- law of the late Lord Thom- son. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Conley and Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Strickler spent the week end at Pine Lake. Isabelle returned home Saturday by bus from Towasan, Ken and family remained camping for another few days. Margaret Many people take to the road in the summer, and one of them is Chris Cooper, 22, who is bicycling from Port uron to Tobermory with Brussels one of his stops along the way . Chris, who • came from Walled Lake, Michigan got a ride to Port Huron and then started from there. Correspondent MRS. ALLAN McCALL 887-6677 Guests were present from Londesboro and Seaforth on Wednesday evening July 15 for the Tweedsmuir meeting of the Walton Women's In- stitute at the community hall. The President welcomed everyone. Mrs. H. Traviss was pianist. Minutes of the June meeting were approved as read by Mrs. B. Humphr- ies. Roll call was answered by "A Memory of Grandma" and each member was to bring a picture for the Tweed- smuir' :History Book. • Mi's. Humphries gave an encour-, aging-treasurer's report. The Institute did well at the booth at Mrs. Broadfoot's sale last Saturday. A good report was given from the Dessert Euchre held in the hall recently. Mrs. Graeme Craig reported on the car trip to Grand Bend for the August meeting. It was decided to leave from the hall Wednesday morning at 10:30 have lunch on the way, then a short meeting before going to the Huron Country Play- house to see the play, "Music 'Man," Helen wish- es to have the name and money in from those wanting to go as soon as possible.
