Liz had it in their house for awhile and people who knew about it came. Word of mouth finally spread to the noint where it got to be too much to have at home. The Majestic Women's Institute are going by bus to the Huron Country Play House in Grand Bend to see the play "The Music Man" August 27. Outsiders are welcome until the tickets are all sold. It was decided to sponsor a girl in the Queen of the Fair contest. Jean Bell and Marie At last week's meeting Brussels council considered the following matters: Council also expressed some concern over firemen not showing up for practice and some of them not knowing how to pump water out of the Maitland River. Council received a suggested list of names for appointment to the cemetery board. These include Jack Bryans and James Cardiff from the United Church: Doug Hemingway and Jim Bowman from the Presbyterian Church and Wayne Todd from the Anglican Church, but these will have to be checked with a lawyer and also to see if a council representative is needed on the board. Council had a deputation from Glen Bridge and Don Blenkhorn of the Brusiels Legion wondering if it would be possible for them -to buy an 8 x 12.6 foot strip of land behind the Legion but the title will have to be searched first. Council also had a deputation from Fire Chief Howard Bernard and Deputy Fire Chief Gord (Doc) Stephenson who told them Brussels was hosting asIvIutual Aid meeting The July meeting of the Majestic Women's Institute, Brussels took the form of the picnic on the lawn at the home of Doris McCall. In a request from Bell Telephone to pass bylaws regarding their underground cables on William St. and Elm St. council decided to send a note to Bell telling them they weren't happy with some of the things that had been done on the street and they would like to see a representative. Morris Township, Past to Present, the book written by Jeanne Kirkby of Walton as part of the township's 125th birthday celebrations should be available by Monday. "It was a really interest- ing experience," Mrs. Kirk- by said. "I really enjoyed it and I kind of miss it". Doug Whitmore of the Blyth Printers who printed the volume had been talking to Bindery Services of Hamilton on Tuesday and he said they were hoping to have the books bound by Wednesday..
