(Photo by Battye) • PEE WEE CHAMPS — Bluevale accepted the trophy from Brenda McDonald, Blyth, for winning the Blyth Pee Wee Boys Softball tournament. They edged Chepstow out in the final game with a close score of 6-5. Obituary W. E. BLAKE William Eugene Blake, 61 of R.R. 2 Brussels who operated Blake's apple orch- ard for a number of years died at his residence on Friday, July 3. He was born in Grey Township, a son of the late William and Mary Blake. Surviving are one brother Louis of R.R. 2, Brussels and three sisters, Veronica (Mrs. Guy Griffiths (of Dorval, Quebec; Helen ' (Mrs. Mait- land Burchill) of Oakville and Sister Herman Joseph (Margaret). C.S.J. London. The body was at the Brus- sels chapel of the M. L. Watts Funeral Home until Monday, July 6 when funeral services were held from St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Brussels with Rev. Father T.M. Higgins officiat- ing, Burial followed in St. Am- brose Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Griffiths, Raymond Peel, Paul Griffiths, Edward Grif- fiths, Billie Kinahan and Jack VandenHengel. Ross Dietner is a patient in Listowel Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Smith and two daughters left for their home in Lethbridge, Alberta Wednesday of last week after vacationing with his mother, Mrs. Adeline Smith and other Ontario relatives and friends.
