erich this week residents
riding in the van had quite a
thrill when a large deer
jumped a fence and ran
across the road in front of
them. Luckily the deer did
not catch our driver una-
wares and we had no unfor-
tunate incidents.
Although it rained on
Wednesday' we went riding
again in the afternoon, and
viewed some of the back
roads into Auburn. Residents
in Special Care and First
North enjoyed the outings.
Residents Council held
their meeting in the chapel
on Thursday morning.
Cards were played in the
new auditorium this week
and we had a good atten-
dance of residents.
Sympathy is expressed to

La Leche League of Bel-

the home of Mrs. C. Schenk,
Wingham. The topic of dis-
cussion was "Advantages of
Breastfeeding to Mother and
Baby". The mothers explain-
ed why they had originally
decided to breastfeed the
next baby. Among the many
reasons mentioned were
bonding, allergies, and sup-
port of husbands. Using
popular advertisement slo-
gans, further benefits to
mother, baby, and father
were found and explained by
Mrs. B. Kerr, Leader.
It was announced that

Canadian Department of
National Health and Welfare
to promote breastfeeding,
and a truly memorable Inter-
national Conference in Tor-
ontod (1977). Margaret was
presented with the Lifestyle
Award in 1979 by the Min-
ister of Canadian Health and
Welfare for "outstanding
work on behalf of infant
health and emotional secur-

Leaders will be Pauline Le-
