In accordance with the Revised Weed Control Act, 1972, Section 4, 14 and 20 and amendments thereto, that unless noxious weeds growing on their lands are destroyed by June 8, 1981 and throughout the season, the Municipality may enter upon the said lands and have the weeds destroyed, charging the' costs against the land in taxes, as set out in the Act. GEORGE BROWN 335.3424 Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 9 at the. Rowell Funeral Home in Woodstock for Margaret Eva (Dennis) Neill of 1050 Hyde St. Woodstock. Mrs. Neill died in Woodstock General Hospital in her 67th year. Besides her husband Karl, Mrs. Neill is survived by three sons Archie and Bruce of Woodstock, Eldon of Kit- chener and one daughter Mrs. Norma Armstrong of Woodstock and by 21 grand- children and 14 great grand- children. Mrs. Neill is also survived by , two brothers, Harvey of Brussels and Melville of Gorrie and one sister, Mrs. Harold Thomas of Brussels. She was predeceased by two children, .Hilda and Dennis. Pallbearers were six grand- sons. Interment was at Ox- ford Memorial Park cemetery Woodstock. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Neill were residents of Gorrie at one time. ST. STEPHEN'S GUILD St. Stephens Anglican Guild met Wedensday even- ing at the home of Mrs. Wm. Bennett. Mrs. Wayne King read the Scripture. Devotions were taken by Mrs. Harry Zimmerman. The business period taken by Mrs. Jasper Farrish,' President, showed a very successful Craft Show again this year,. also a Lion's dinner catered to in April. Plans ...were discussed for a Bus Trip toKitchener in June and a noon Luncheon on May 28th. The programme consisted of pictures shown by Mrs. Wm. Bennett on trip to Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and Figi Islands which were enjoyed. Lunch was served by the hostess and. Mrs. Bruce Bennett. Mrs. Melville Dennis has returned after spending a week with her grandaughter Lisa Raven of Toronto, while her parents were in Montre- al, Que. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Richmond of Win- nipeg, Man. and Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Bisch of Kitchener were also recent visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Arscott and son Danny, and Mr. and Mrs. David Szmik and. Melis- sa all of Scarborough spent Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Miller. Mrs. Glad. Edgar attended the Whytock-Kreller wed- ding in St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Normanby on Sat- urday. Mr. Birks Robertson of Teeswater was also a guest and spent the weekend with Mrs. Glad. Edgar. , Notice to Property Owners In the absence of President Dorothy Sterner, 1st Vice President Marie McTaggart took charge of the meeting when the Majestic Women's Institute met for their May meeting. Thanks were expressed to Kathy Bridge and Margaret Exel for making favours for the Nursing Home residents at Easter Time. Doris McCall reported that the Cancer Campaign was completed and that Brussels District had raised $1790.00 this year. Mrs. McCall who had attended the Officers Con- ference at Kitchener recently gave an interesting report. An invitation to attend a 25th anniversary of the Wal- ton Women's Institute was received. This is to be held May 28th at 8:00 p.m, Also an invitation to a Tweeds- Muir Tea at Fordwich on June 2 from 7:30 - 10:00 p.m. Peggy Cudmore is making plans for the Institute to attend the Huron County Play House, possibly in August. Donations were passed to be given to the Salvation Army, and to the Ladies Division of the Brussels Fall Fair. Alice Brothers played two piano solos. Glenna Stephens and Amy Speir were conveners for this meeting with the theme being "Resolutions." Mrs. Stephens introduced the guest speaker, Past District President, Marjorie Hum-, and her husband had tra- velled, Next meeting is June 10 at 8:00 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Huron County Home Economist.
