W.I. Hall Wednesday even-
ing. Winners were: high
lady, Mrs. Gershom John-
ston, novelty lady, Ms.
Janisa Coultes and low lady,
Mrs. Ronald Coultes.

Johnston, novelty man, Wil-

Lorne Jamieson. There will
be another euchre Wednes-
day evening.

Joanne Wood opened the
shower by playing "Here
Comes the Bride." A skit

joyed. An address was read
to Karen by Mrs. Dawson
and gifts were presented to
her by Joanne and Ellen
Taylor.
Mrs. Garner Nicholson re-
turned home last Monday
after visiting with her daugh-
La Leche League (LLL) of
Belgrave held a successful
Couple's Night on April 11 at
.the home of Mr. and Mrs. P.
Greenwood, Wingham. A
film "The nursing Couple"
was shown, followed by a
lively discussion of the robe
of the father .during preg-
nancy, birthing, and parent-
ing.
The meeting "nutrition
and Weaning" was held at
the home of Mrs. L. Nolan,
Wingham, who was present-
ed 'with "The Rights of
Infants" by M. Ribble, as
thanks for hosting this series
Introduced was a brand-new
LLL brochure "Breastfeed-
ter and son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs., Glyn Wide and family
of Mount Hope.

with thoughts of parents
considering the ways breast-
Feeding satisfies the needs of
a baby from birth to wean-
ing. When to add solids, and
which first foods to introduce
were noted, followed by
methods of weaning. Wean-
ing was viewed as a stage of
growth in the baby's devel-
opment. Labels of foods
purchased in supermarkets
were passed out for mothers
to guess the food, and share
ideas on how these foods
could be made at home in a
more nutritious manner. The
ILL cookbook was recom-
mendced as a good some of
home-made meals, -
