playoffs in the Brussels Mix-
ed Bowling League Jim
Adams topped .all the men
bowlers with his high single
of 246, and his triple of 686.
Second high single went to
Cliff Hoegy with 241 and
Danny McKay was third high
with 225. Second high triple
was Danny McKay with 632
and third high was Cliff
Hoegy with 610.
For the ladies, Wilda Hig-
gins was high with her 233
single and 620 triple. Mar-
lene Cowie was second high
single with 216 and Pat
Newby was third with 208.

Several local young people
were Huron County repre-
sentatives at the Junior
Farmer's ' Conference '81
• held recently at the Constell-
ation Hotel, Toronto.
At the annual meeting the
Junior Farmers' Association
of Ontario made a donation
of more than $15,000 to the
March of Dimes campaign.
"Junior Farmer members
decided to raise money for
the March of Dimes this year
to support the International
Year of Disabled Persons",
says Amber Gibbons, of the
Ontario Ministry of Agricul-
ture and Food extension
branch.
The total donation of
$15,556.89 was raised by
Junior Farmer clubs
throughout Ontario. Fund-
raising efforts ranged from
dances to dance-a-thons, and
bottle drives to box socials
where the person who buys
the lunch shares it with the
person who prepared it.
"All of the money was
raised from fund-raising ef-
forts held during Junior
Farmer Week, March 20 to
27," says Miss Gibbons.
A new slate of Junior
Farmer officials was elected.
Doug Peart, a member of the
Haldimand Junior Farmers
from R.R. 3, Hagersville,
was elected president. Mere-
dith. Gilbert, of Nepean,
Ottawa-Carleton Region was
elected vice-president. Jan
Homer, supervisor of youth
extension for the Ontario
Ministry of Agriculture and
Food was elected secretary-
treasurer.
