Club Achievement Programs
for "Ready...Get Set... Sew!
represent the end of another
successful 4-H project in
Huron County. Members had
the opportunity to sew a vest
or skirt. Basic sewing techni-
ques were stressed through-
out the project such as seam
finishes, applying interfac-
ings and facings, lapped
zippers and finishing an edge
with bias tape.

presented by the East Wawa-
nosh Public School, Belgrave
on Tuesday afternoon on
April 7 in the auditorium of
the school. This play was also
presented on Wednesday
evening with a large attend-
ance.
Effective April services
of the Ministry of Culture
and Recreation in. Perth and
Huron Counties will be
handled by a new Consult-
ant.
Melanie McLaughlin,
formerly responsible for
North ..Huron & South Grey
and Bruce Counties, is re-
placing Al Sinclair who has
worked for the ministry in
Perth and Huron since June,
1976. Mr. Sinclair is taking
responsibility for Elgin and
Kent Counties.
The staff changes are part
of a re-alignment,of staff
responsibilities in the mini-
stry's southwest field unit
designed to equalize work-
load.
The Achievement Pro-
grams will be conducted
throughout the County as

resources material and fin-
ancial assistance programs.

local cultural and recreation

his 70th year. The late Mr.
Perrie was the husband of
Marie, father of Donald John
of London and. Margaret
(Mrs. Jim Schultz) of Toron-

He was the brother of Jean
Perrie also of Toronto and
the late Rev. Alex Perrie. He
is also survived by two
grandchildren, Lori and
Matthew Perrie.
Rev. Perrie was chaplain
in Victoria and University
Hospitals of London. The
pallbearers were all fellow
members of the ministry of
the United Church of
Canada.
