In Tawas City, Michigan
the United Methodist Church
did something special as part
of the Easter "Sonrise Serv-
ice"--they released a number
of balloons. Ten of those
balloons were found in a field
at the home of Leo Dietner of
RRI, Ethel.
The Dietners found the
balloons on Easter Sunday,
three of which were still
intact. Attached to the bal-
loons were tags which read
"EaSter 1981. Jesus calls us
to be His butterfly people.
He changes us from an
earthbound caterpillar to a
free and beautiful butterfly.
Follwing is a Bible verse
from 2 Corinthians 5: 17
which says: Therefore, if any
one is in Christ, he is a new
creation; the old has passed
away, behold, the new has
come."

Can you imagine how shocked the great
grandtnothers of present day teenagers
Would be if they could see what their
great-grandatighters wear in public, In days
long-gone wasp waists, that had a lady laced
so tightly that. She could scarcely draw a
decent breath and would probably faint

yards, were the elegant thing. As Were skirts

ladies would have thrown up their hands in
horror at the sight of short skirts; scanty
shorts and tops-not wasp waists but bare
midriffs with a navel giving them the eye;
and those barely visible bikinis that adorn
(on some niar) our beaches. At least the
trend these days seems to be for more
charming, dainty, femine styles for young
ladies.

Easter weekend was a pleasant one for
this household. Some of my Ottawa family
were with me and with young folks around it
was a lively; busy time, Then there were
side-trips, for all of us and a bit of
entertaining as well as an evening to visit the
Tradefest. Now again it is just the dog and I.

Thanks for the coverage
