Big crowd at March break jitney
With the weather getting
more spring-like, thoughts
are turning away from winter
activities,
However, the March Break
Jitney had over 40 curlers
signed up for three six-end
games. Several of the lady
curlers, prepared big pots of
chili to whet the appetites as
the cheerful group came off
the ice at lunch time.
This delightful aroma kept
most of the curlers at the
arena for a social gathering
instead of having to go home
or to a restaurant,
Women's Lib seemed to be
in evidence as the men did
the dishes since the women
prepared the meals. Prizes
for the Jitney were boxes of
groceries which the winners
generously contributed to
help with the supper menu.
The evening ended with a
Sing-song around the piano.
