Brussels met at the
home of Nelva Scott on
March 4th with 14 in atten-
dance.
President Karen Cardiff
began with a few interesting
thoughts, then welcomed
everyone, and thanked Mrs.
Scott for the invitation to her
home.
A spring poem was given
'by Mrs. Scott followed by
everyone joining in singing
the hymn "How Sweet the
Name of Jesus Sounds," a
short reading on the "Pass-
ing of Times," followed by a
story "The Time of the
Trilliums."

playing at the Hall Board
progressive euchre on Friday
night in the Community
Centre. The following won

Hospital. She spoke on
"Ageing-Passing The Three
Quarter Mark." Age in years
doesn't mean much, but
hearing, sight, walking abil-
ity, and contact with others is
the prime concern for people
to be able to stay in their own
home. Meals on wheels,
phone service, neighbours or
volunteers are a great aid for
ninny.
Mrs. Kitchen told of many.
items which can be placed in
the home to help with eating,
bathing and phone services.
Many questions were asked
about different situations.

The Stitch'n Sisters met at
the home of assistant leader
Marie Stute. The roll call was
to name a sewing technique
you had learned, then you
were to state where you had
used it on your garment.
The more experienced
sewers learned how to apply
a bias tape while the other
girls helped each other n ea-
sure for the hem of their
skirts.
The next meeting will be
held in the spring break at
the home of leader Edna
McLellan.
