Fat cattle. held back from yards
Brussels Stockyards has no
fat cattle market report due
to sudden illness of our
veterinary inspectors across
Ontario. We felt that it was
in the best interest of our
customers to hold back their
fat cattle as we had no way of
knowing when the illness
would end.
The feeder pig market met
a good demand with steady
prices. There were 1372 pigs
on offer.
30-40 lb. pigs traded to a
StitchiniSisters met at the
home of assistant leader
Marie Stute on February 26.
All members answered the
roll call with various uses for
interfacing. They read how to
apply fusible and non fusible
interfacing.
The leader demonstrated
how to do an extended facing
which everyone is to com-
plete for next meeting and
the assistant leader demon-
strated how to do a lapped
zipper and the more experi-
enced members are to also
complete the lapped zipper.
Members then did the
cryptogram review in their
books, which they were to
complete for the next meet-
ing when it will be taken up.
Members are to continue
working on their garments.
BELGRAVE 4-H
The "Stylish Stitchers"
met February 23 at the
Women's Institute Hall.
President Denise Nethery,
high of 37.50; 40 to 50 lb.

60 to 70 lb, pigs to a high of
51.75; 70 to 80 lb. pigs to a

The market at Brussels
Stockyards traded actively on
a good supply of cattle and
pigs. There were 767 cattle
and 1253 pigs on offer.
Choice Steers- 79.00 to
82.00 with sales to 83.25;
opened the meeting with the
4-H pledge. Leaders, Mrs.
Alex Nethery and Mrs.
Glenn Montgomery showed
how to put in darts and the
different stitches.
When everyone knew how
to do them,, Denise Nethery
closed the meeting with the
441 motto.
BELGRAVE 4-H CLUB 1
Belgrave 1 4-H Club met in
the W.I. Hall, Belgrave.
Everyone answered the roll
call which was, "The pattern
and fabric I have chosen for
my 4-H project." The girls
decided to call themselves
the "Super Sew'rs", then
discussed sewing machines.
Mrs. Jim Hunter demon-
strated how to make pattern
alterations and then how to
pin and fit a pattern.
Brussels I, Thirteen Thim-
blers fourth meeting was
held at Jane Draper's on
February 28th. Members
learned how to put in inter-
facing and facing. Members
also worked on their sample
vest.

Agribition held in Regina,
Saskatchewan.
The bull, Tutira Captain
Dutch 8K was also a class
winner and Senior Champion
at the 1980 Royal and recent-
ly was named All Canadian
for 1980 as a two year old, a
repeat from 1979.
