Standing on either side of the winners are Mr. McCall, superintendent of education and Sinclair Wardrop an English teacher at. F.E. Madill Secondary School in Wingham. (Photo by Langlois) Correspondent MRS. JOE WALKER 357-3558 Mr. and Mrs. George Fischer, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Shaw and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Boyd hosted five tables of euchre Wednesday. High prizes were won by Mrs. Milton Boyd and Wes Paulin. Low prizes were Mrs. Hugh Mundell and J.C. Johnston. Lucky draw was won by Joe Walker. The next euchre will be in charge of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Camp- bell, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johnston and Mr. and Mrs. Mel Craig. The annual meeting of the Bluevale Presbyterian ChurCh was held February 18. All organizations report- ed a successful year. New officers appointed for 1981 were: Congregational secre- tary, Mrs. Wayne Day; assis- tant to treasury, Mary Ellen Eisen. Three year terms to managers board, Alex MacTavish, John Mundell, Jack Shaw. All other officials were re-elected. It was decided to levy a $10. fee for rent of the church for non-supporters of the church, for all occasions. A vote of thanks was tendered to Rev. Terrance Trites. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Coe, Barry and Clarence of Norval spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Henning. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mac- Tavish have returned from a Florida vacation. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Moffatt on the arrival of their daughter at Wingham and District Hospi- tal. A wee sister for Ryan. Belgrave entertains Huronview Correspondent MRS. L. STONEHOUSE 887-9847 The Belgrave Women's Institute provided the pro- gram for the February birth- day party at Huronview, Clinton. The East Wawanosh Public School choir, under the direction of William Chaulk, entertained the resi- dents with their singing, followed by two readings by Mrs. Leslie Bolt and Mrs. Walter Scott. Members of the Institute who attended were: Mrs. Leonard James, Mrs. Ross Higgins, Mrs. Glenn Coultes Mrs. Clare Van Camp, Mrs. Leslie Bolt. Mrs. Garner Ncholson and Mrs. Walter Scott who also assisted serving cup cakes and tea. KIN MEET The Belgrave and Dis- trict Kinsmen met at the Belgrave Arena following a Chinese dinner in Wingham. President Blake Evans was in charge of the meeting. Upcoming dances March 7 and April 4 at the Wingham Legion Hall with Maran's Orchestra were discussed. Costumes will be the attract- ion for the April 4 dance, which will be a "Fifties Dance Party". Lloyd Michie expressed appreciation to the Taylor family and owners of snow- mobiles for their help at the February 15 Kid's Party.. The special event of the evening was a film and presentation by Bill Steven- son dealing with computer technology. PLAY EUCHRE 10 tables of progressive euchre were in play at the Women's Institute Hall on Wednesday evening, Febru- ary 25. Winners were: High Lady- Mrs. Janisa Coultes, Low Lady- Mrs. Jennie Walsh, Novelty Lady- Mrs. Albert Bacon, High Man- Gordon Walker, Low. Man- Bert Johnston, Novelty Man- George Inglis. There will be euchre again next week. Everyone wel- come. . PERSONALS Mr. and Mrs. Gary Leitch, Julie and Jeffery of London spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grasby. Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston, Tara and Erin were weekend visitors with Mrs. Laura Johnston and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grasby. Belgrave 1970 Inter- mediates are going to play with the 1970 Midgets in the Lockridge Memorial Arena, Wingham on March 7 at 8 p.m. This game will be the highlight of the decade., Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cantelon of Tweed spent a few days this past week at l the home of her mother„ Mrs. Harry McGuire.. ; Mr. and Mrs. Simon! Hallahan, Ralph Campbell,' Neil Vincent and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hanna spent a , couple of days in Toronto last week and attended the Ont- ario Good Road Convention held in the Royal York Hotel, Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. David Len- nox and Mrs. Herbert Len- nox of Listowel spent a few days last week visiting at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Lome Jamieson of Wingham and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hanna. On Tuesday Mrs. Dennis Evsom of Sarnia visited with her mother, Mrs. Robert Procter. On Wednesday, Mrs. Ensom and her mother enjoyed a drive to Kitchener. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Robert Procter were Mrs. Howard Zettler of Chepstow, Mr. and Mrs. Larry May- berry and family of Londes- boro. Mr. and Mrs., Frank Procter and family of RR5, Brussels and Mrs. Dennis Ensom of Sarnia. This being the occasion of Mrs. Proct- er's birthday. Mrs. Ensom and Mrs. Zettler stayed over till Thursday with their mother. We are sorry to hear that Mrs. George Michie of Bel- grave and Miss Margaret Curtis of Brookhaven Nurs- ing Home, Wingham, are patients in the Wingham and District Hospital. EAST WAWANOSH PUBLIC SCHOOL Our choir is made up of 24 students from East Wawa- nosh Public School. Many of the students play instru- ments such as the guitar, bongos and tambourines. Our director is Bill Chaulk who is a great help to us. We have gone on two trips to Huronview and Brookhaven Nursing Home. We sing "Happy Songs". We still practice once a week and we hope to visit more places. All the mem- bers enjoy 'these trips very much. At Brookhaven Nursing Home we sang the following songs, High Hopes, Julia, I'm So Tired, You Won't See Me, World Without Love, You've got a Friend and It's Going to Take Sometime This Time. J.E.
