Point Clark
tourney
The Belgrave Pee Wee
Hockey team travelled to
Ripley on Saturday to partici-
pate in the Point Clark
Kinsmen's ,House League
Hockey Tournament.
After defeating teams
from Kincardine and Ripley
in preliminary games, the
Belgrave team met Smith-
ville in the finals. Belgrave
defeated Smithville 6-1 and
so brought the championship .
trophy to Belgrave.
Congratulations to the
boys and their coach Wilfred
Haines.

deserving corps in southern
Ontario. The members wish

The Blyth Festival Singers
is presenting an afternoon
concert of choral music for
the whole family on Sunday,
March 1st at 3 p.m. in the
Blyth Memorial Hall.
The choir has been togeth-
er since last September and
is under the professional
direction of Laurie Rowboth-
am of Listowel. Mr. Row-
botham, an Honours music
graduate of the University of
Waterloo, is director of the
nationally-acclaimed
Listowel High School ,choir
and is also organist andichoir
master at Trinity United
Church, Listowel. Another
area resident, Mrs. JoAnne
King of Brussels, is the
accompanist for the choir.
The Blyth Festival Singers
has a membership of 80 who
come from a forty-mile radi-
us of Blyth. Those from the
Brussels area include:

Martin; Don Dunbar;
JoAnne and Bill King; Frank
Hooper; Betty Campbell;
Mary Douma; Mary Jean

The parent organization of
the Blyth Festival Singers is
the Blyth Centre for the Arts
which has enthusiastically
endoresed this new venture
in its growth. From its begin-
nings six years ago as the
sponsor of the Blyth Summer
Festival, the Centre is now
the 'umbrella' organization
for the choir, a full winter
! programme of music and
theatre, children's work-
shops in theatre and art, a
children's movie series, art
exhibitions in the hall's new
art gallery, and a number of
touring shows or original
Blyth productions.. ,
Tickets for Sunday's con-
cert can be obtained from

mission price is $3.00 for
adults and $1.50 for children.
