Second place went to Ron Kraemer, Mitchell and Brussels rinks, skipped by Doug Rathwell and Ron Adams were third place and consolation win- ners. Brussels entries made their best showing in the 11 o'clock draw, Neil Heming- way's rink was first and Bonspiel committee chair- man Dan Pearson skipped his team to second place. SECOND PRIZE IN THE 9 O'CLOCK DRAW—This team from Mitchell placed second in the 9 o'clock draw when the Brussels Lions held a curling bonspiel as part of Polar Daize on Tuesday. A very close, well-skipped, third game between Neil Hemingway and Ken Innes decided the Over-all Winner for the day. The Trophy went to Neil's team, viced by Ron Clarkson, a new member of Brussels Curling Club and Brussels Lions, second stone John Schenk and lead, John Van Vliet. The bonspiel was organ- ized by Lion Gerritt Van Keulen and Dan Pearson. The Brussels Ladies Curling Club catered. The Lion's Polar Daize Bonspiel held on Tuesday, Feb. 17 was an unqualified success. Entries fron Han- over, Lucknow, Ripley, Mitchell, Wingham and Brussels added up to 65 very competitive curlers in the two-draw event. A Post Classified, will pay you dividends.
