The Tuesday night euchre was cancelled with the next one scheduled for February 24th. The Walton Unit will hold a business meeting at the quilting Monday afternoon at the home of Judy Emmrick. The secretary of the 8th and 16 Unit said their meet- ing was cancelled, but plans are being made for a shower for Janice Houston, Friday evening, February 27. Weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Huether, Steven and John were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Beach, Terri and Scott of Warren Michi- gan, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Zutzi of Kitchener and Miss Julie Twynham of Seaforth. Mr. and Mrs. Neil McGav- in, Mrs. Dorothy Sholdice and Mrs. Murray Cardiff have arrived home following a week with Mr. and Mrs. Correspondent MRS. ALLAN McCALL 887-6677 The first meeting of the Walton 1 4-1I club of the project Get Ready-Set-Sew was held on Monday evening February 9 at the home of Dorothy Sholdice. There are 10 girls taking this club and 3 mothers were also present. Dorothy Sholdice and Marg- aret Shortreed are the lead- ers. Elected officers are: Presi- dent-Peggy Humphries, Vice President-Carol Ann Wil- liamson, Secretary and Press Reporter-Joyanne Van Vliet. The leader gave a test on measurements, then each took their measurements to see what size of a pattern they needed. Members talk- ed about what was required in the sewing basket and , looked at different prices for interfacings. The girls will meet next Monday evening at the same home. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Walker and family of London spent the weekend with them when Dorothy was away. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Machan and family and Mrs. Laura Machan of Sarnia were din- ner guests on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Nelsoh Reid. In the afternoon and evening many neighbours, friends and relatives called to con- gratulate Nelson on the oc- casion of his 85th birthday which is February 16th. Mrs. Viola Kirkby visited on Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Machan and family, Goder- ich. • We are glad to report William Bennett returned home from Clinton Hospital on Friday, Mrs. Sadie Mc Donald is home again from Wingham Hospital. We wish them both continued health. Supper guests on Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Reid were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ryan and Sister Teresa Ryan of Landon. BERG ales — Servicei Installation ! ANOTHER FEBRUARY STORM—The month of February is getting to be noted for its snow storms and last Tueiday Huron County experienced another one.
