Mrs. Lola .Mann chose Luke, Chapter 17 verses 20 and 21. She spoke on Christianity and Mission growth "We participate together in God's work." Mrs. Mann read several passages from St. Matthew. Mrs. Ross Gray gave the treasurer's report, The general fund for 1981 is $400, with the supply being $45. The offering was received with prayer, by Mrs. Golley. A letter was read from Mrs. D. Gilles in regard to sending a delegate to Sarnia in April.. It is undecided at this time, if , Bluevale will have a representative. Some books will be purchased for the Explorers, with some discussion following and a decision to have a bake and plant sale in the spring. The annual meeting of the Bluevale United Church was held on January 25. Reports for the Sunday school were given by Superintendent ' Doug Stamper; Messengers by Mrs. Ross Nicholson; Bluevale Young People by Mr. Perry; board of trustees ' by James C. Johnston; United Church , Women by Mrs. Charles Mathers and the general report by Mrs. Tom Dunn. All organizations reported a successful year. There are 95 families under pastoral care. News appointments for 1981 are: treasurer, Mrs. Margaret Brewer; ministry and personnel, Jean Mathers, Donna Craig, Murray Johnston; session Murray Johnston, Harold Johnston, stewards, Carl Johnston, Harvey Edgar, Helen MacFarlane, Bruce Corrigan: trustees, George , Fischer, W. Mr. Ken McDonald spent a few days last week in Seaforth Hospital, having surgery on his knee, returning home on Saturday.
