Horticulturalists honor
retiring officers
HIGH SCORE—Donald Campbell was present-
ed with the Howard Bernard Trophy as first
year member with the highest score when 4-H
awards were presented at the annual meeting of
the Brussels Agricultural Society on Wednes-
day night. Presenting the award Was Joan

HIGHEST OVERALL SCORE— Jacqueline
Robertson received a watch from the Bank of
Commerce for having the highest overall score
in 4-H. Ron Clarkson, assistant manager
presented her with' the watch
TOPNOTCH AWARD— When Sherry Robert-
son won for high judging in 4-H, she was
presented with an outfit from Doug Hoegy of
Topnotch Feeds Limited in Brussels at an
awards presentation on Wednesday night.
HIGHEST COMBINED POINTS— Kevin
Bishop received the award for having the
highest combines points in calf and showman-
ship when Brussels Agricultural Society held
the 4-H award presentations on Wednesday
night. Presenting Kevin with his award was
Jerry Dillow of the Royal Bank.
SHOWMANSHIP—' Paul Johnston was 'pre-
sented with the Bruce McCall trophy for
showmanship in 4-H at a meeting of the
Brussels Agricultural Society on Wednesday
night. Presenting the trophy was Doris McCall.

HIGH PRE-4-H SCORE—Cherryl Anne Smith
was presented with a trophy by Reeve Cal
Krauter at a meeting of the Brussels
Agricultural Society on Wednesday night for
having the highest score in pre-4-H.

Society presented Betty
McCall with a gift in appre-
ciation of her two years as
president and Mrs.Peggy
Cudmore for her 16 years as
secretary-treasurer when the
group met Monday. Alfred
Knight showed slides of local
flower beds and gardens and
scenery.
Brussels Grade 3 students
made their - New Year's Re-
solutions. Here are some of
them so their parents can
determine what resolutions
were made by their children.
I resolve:
-not to put tacks in my
sister's bed.
- keep my room tidy
- clean up all the messes I
make
- help mom and dad in the
barn
- go right to sleep when I go
to bed at night
- help my mom more
