The skip was Ross Veitch; vice- Les Knight, second-, Murray Fischer and lead- Bob Alexander. Another bonspiel, was at- tended in Listowel on Satur- day, January 10, by the rink of Dan and Mary Jane Pear- Robbie Cardiff and Paul Machan attended Toc-Alphi as delegates of the General Brussels, United Church Women from December 27- 30 at the Holiday Inn, Hamil- ton. Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Gulutzen and their three children were supper guest son and Gerritt and Maria Van Keulen. While they didn't win any prizes, they enjoyed their day away curl- ing. Rinks going to other corn- munitieS for bonspiels help to bring, out-of-town rinks back to our bonspiels here in Brussels. The spirit of with Mrs. Albina Gulutzen as were Mr. and Mrs. Clint Emmerich and Mrs. Ruth Thamer. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Forier, and Mr. Harold Smalldon were supper guest with Mrs. Albina Gulutzen and her mother Mrs. Anna Straty- chuk. good sportsmanship,' ,kindly feeling, honourable conduct , and gentlemanly play have long been fostered by curling clubs all over the, world. The winners of Monday night curling for January 12 were the rinks of Murray Huether, John Byers, Russ Veitch, Ross Cunningham, Les Knight, Stewart Steiss, Brad Speiran, Ernie Lewing- ton, Jim Patterson and Bob Alexander. The last two games should be exciting and worth watch- ing. There is a viewing area upstairs for anyone wishing to observe. All are welcome. The ladies' afternoon curl- ing saw some close, games. Yvonne Knight, Nora Ste- phenion and Joyce Alexan- der were the winning skips for January 13. 4-H LEADERS ELECT 1981 EXECUTIVE—The 4-H Club Leaders elected their new executive at their annual meeting last week. Second high was Janet Beirnes with 204 and Debbie Hull was third with 188. High ladies triple went to Judy Adams with 188. High ladies triple went to,* Jild'S Adams with 530. Second high was Debbie Hull with 499 and Leona Snyder was third with 497., For the men, high single went to Ross Cunningham with 237. Jim Adams was second high with 221 and Dennis Newby was third with 219. Men's high triple was Jim Adams with 644. He was followed by Dennis Newby with 611 and Ross Cunning- ham with569., Games over 200 were: Janet Burnes 204, Ed Mos- terd 200, Leona Snyder 227, Ross Cunningham 237, Den- nis N,wby 209 and 219, Jim Adams, 211, 212 and 221, Cliff Hoegy 208.
