We had a very special treat
Thursday morning when the
Nursery School at Vanastra
came to visit the ladies on
Ground Floor North. The
children sang several Christ-
mas selections and passed
out some cookies that they
had made. We hope that they
will visit again soon.
Thursday afternoon our
annual Christmas party for
the Residents was held in the
auditorium. Angus MaeLan-
nan the principal from the
Hullett Central School
brought his grade six, seven
and eight pupils to sing and
play for us. These pupils
were under the direction of
Mrs. Susan. Supeene. Fancy
cookies and tea made by the
kitchen staff were served.
During the Sunday- morning
service the Residents were
favoured by a duet by Mrs.
Elsie Henderson and Miss
Margaret McQueen accom-
panied by Frank Bissett. Ms.
Henderson and Miss Mar-
garet McQueen accompanied
by Frank Bissett. Mrs. Hen-
derson played her bells and
Mr. Bissett played along as
her •accompaniest. In two
weeks there will be commun-
ion. This particular pro-
gramme each Christmas has
been taking place for the last
fifty years and we find this
quite admirable. The Master
of Ceremonies was • Jim
Stewart who started the
programme by leading in
some Christmas carols.,
Northside United Church
Choirs presented A Christ-
mas Story in Words and
Song. The choirs were Under
the direction of Mrs. Marg-
aret Whitmore and Mrs.
