The story, is about one Christmas . when Santa was late for Christmas Eve. This 'is what happened.' ' One tbristmas Eve Santa explained to his wife, "I'm going to have a little nap before I go on my trip". "Will you wake me up before twelve o'clock please?". "But I'm going to sleep for an hour", frowned his wife. "Oh, Who can wake me up?" , cried Santa "Why don't you ask one of your elves Santa" asked his wife. "That's it". shouted Santa. "Oh but how can I get one if they've all gone on holidays?" screamed' Santa as he was pulling his hair. ".0.K. I guess wake you • up" sighed his wife. But she did riot get him up because she fell asleep reading. Podi• Santa all of a sudden the clock struck eleven then Santa woke up and shouted. "I'll be late for Christmas Eve" and he got dressed and said to his wife. "Why didn't you get me up?" he scream- ed. "I don't have time to fight now" said he and off he went. As hp went he stopped at each 'house to fill each stocking and ate all his snacks and off again. When he got home he was in a bad mood.'"I'in home" he grunted. 'Now how come you didn't wake me up?" Well I accidently fell a= sleep reading a. book" ex- plained his wife. ":Here I am almost late for Christmas .and " you fall asleep" he grunted. "What else could happen?" he .said ' smartly. "This" remarked his wife and she gave him a big kiss.
