To the "bright lights" of the city,
She thought that she would go,
Because of all the glamour
The fashions and the glow,
Of things the-small town didn't have;
But what .she didn't know
Was what, she left behind her
$ • Her iriends who'd always lend an ear,
Her, family;and their '41Ove,!'
The "bright lights" of the city
Couldn't give her the above!
The lights didn't seem as bright
As she had thought they were
And the glamour and the fashions
Soon became a blur.
When among all the faces
0millg home
Not a true friend could she find
And she realized her real dream of life
Was what she'd left behing!
Her friends, her family and their love,
What more could life bestow?
A feW "bright light" were just as good
As hundreds in a row
And the fashions in the small town
Were just as up to date .
And the glamour, and, the good times
Were there for her to make!
The "bright light" of the city
Is here to stay, we know!.'
lb, Will always come and go . '
