There were games and a short program of Christmas Carols with Ruth Alton at the piano and Mary Thomas on the harp. Katherine and Jennifer and their Aunt Grace danced a Scottish dance. Ruth and Suzanne played a duet on the piano. Charlie Procter showed pictures he had taken when they visited. Scotland two years ago. Belgrave citizens are proud to see the new sign on the Institute Hall reading "Women's Institute Hall, Belgrave," This sign was made by Thomas Dunn of R.R. #1, Bluevale and placed there by Mr. Robert Gordon of the village. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stone- house visited on Sunday afternoon with their cousins. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth MacDonald of Teeswater. Mr. and lMrs. Stuart Chattiney of Donnybrook, Mr, and Mrs. Sam Pletch and David and Miss Ruth Ann Pletch of Waterloo were dinner guests of Mr. and. Mrs. Kevin Pletch following the baptism of their infant daughter Michelle Angela. Mt. and Mrs. Robert Gingerich of Smithers spent a couple of days last week With her parents' Mr. . Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Yuill and Mrs. Leslie Bolt attended the 35th wedding anniversary celebration of their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. John Lane in Parkview Gardens, Listowel on December 5. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Vincent of Oakville, were weekend visitors of Mrs. Cliff Logan and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Vincent. They all attended the funeral of their brother-in-law the late Roy McSween of Wingham. Sohn G. Roberts. Mrs. Stewart Procter entertained, her family to a Christmas dinner in the basement of the United Church, Belgrave, catered to by the ladies of the Institute on December 6. It was necessary to have their Christmas early as Grace and Charlie were leaving for Scotland to spend the holidays with her family and friends. Those present were Grace and Charlie Procter? Sherry and Trisha Taylor and Beth Mc Cool did a baton routine to "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer," Following some carol singing members of the Sunday School presented a playlet entitled "Gifts are for Giving'!„ Sunday School superintendent Donald Dow thanked everyone especially the young folk in the play and Bonnie Walker and Mrs. Gordon McBurney for all their time spent preparing. There were about 75 in attendance. ACW MEETS The Belgrave A.C.W. met at the home of Miss Lillian Potter for their December meeting. The, president, Mrs. Harold Jardin read a Christmas Meditation entitled "A Stable Faith is not enough" and also a Christmas, message from Bishop Ragg. The scripture reading was given by Mrs. Robert Procter and the Lord's prayer was repeated in unison. The minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary Mrs. Clare Van Camp and the, treasurer's report was given by Mrs. Alex. Nethery, Mrs. Jardin, thanked everyone who worked so hard to make the Bazaar and, bake sale so successful. The Christmas party will take the form of a pot luck supper land the program will be held in the W.I Hall' on December 20.
