Kevin Bishop, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Bishop of
R.R. 1 Ethel through his
enterprising 4-H work, pur-
chased a calf from the herd of
George Pearson of Ethel, and
through his efforts, ability,
feeding and finishing, the
animal was accepted for the
Queen's Guineas competit-
ion at the Brussels Pair,
placed in the first prize group
at the Queens Guineas coin-
petition.
The calf was purchased by
the Brussels •Stockyards and
within' the next week or so
will be offered at. ThomP'
son's and Stephenson's Ment
Market.
Since both Mrs; Bishop
and Mr. Pearson work at'the
Brussels Stockyards, the pro-
gresS of the calf. was followed
with some interest.

Christmas music that came
from the organ in the chapel
on Thursday afternoon.
Mass was held in the
chapel on Friday morning for

our Catholics. -
' We have been playing
bingo on ground north each
Friday and the location
seems popular with the resi-
dents.
We hope the residents
have been enjoying our new
stereo which we have playing
in various places throughout
the home.
