Mr. Cochrane prompted the discussion by asking if any changes were needed in the board's approach to private sessions. The min- utes of the in-camera meet- ing are included in the following months agenda and all recommendations are covered by a single motion. Trustee Clarence McDon- ald said the closed sessions were not being abused and were a necessary part of board business. "There are things discuss- ed in committee and that's where they belong," he said. "We can't change that be- cause we have to protect our personnel."
