cussing personnel problems.
Mr. Cochrane prompted
the discussion by asking if
any changes were needed in
the board's approach to
private sessions. The min-
utes of the in-camera meet-
ing are included in the
following months agenda and
all recommendations are
covered by a single motion.
Trustee Clarence McDon-
ald said the closed sessions
were not being abused and
were a necessary part of
board business.
"There are things discuss-
ed in committee and that's
where they belong," he said.
"We can't change that be-
cause we have to protect our
personnel."

but insisted that wasn't the
case.. "If We are accused of it
so what. We are just relying
on the administration for
good, solid advice."

the system. claiming the. ad-
ministrative staff should
make recommendations as a
place to start discussions,"
he said.
