John Mulvihill and. James McDermott of London Head office were introduced by Richard Carson. They commended the Howick. Branch for its continuing efforts in retaining its charter. A discussion was held on the equipment in the loan cupboard and it was decided that the wheel chairs, walkers and crutches were adequate but head office would replace any other items needed. These are loaned to people who require them free of charge, for a limited time as a service to the community. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Nickel of Fordwich were winners in the progressive Euchre held in the Gorrie Community Hall on Tuesday Nov. 25 with over 40 attending. Mrs. Wesley Heimpel, Wroxeter and Mel vin Taylor held the low scores. The committee in charge served refreshments. Unit I of the United Church Women will cater to a Christmas dinner for the "Come Alive Club" on Dec. 2. Rev. Bert Vancook of Molesworth and Gorrie Presbyterian Churches will be the guest speaker.
