Tickets were given, out for the Grey Township firemen panquet on Saturday eve- "ning, when several members ' offered to help. Mrs. Harvey Craig, dele- gate Who attended the 41st Guelph Area Convention in Kitchenerlast month, gave, a detailed outline of the two day event. The theme for the convention was "Take time to grow". The convention next year will be held in the Brussels, Morris k Grey Community •Centre. Each member 'is , asked to bring either muffins or tea biscuits for the tea table, The hostesses were ehasen for the euchre on Tuesday evening, December 9. There is to be a gift exchange of $2.00. It was stressed that new members are welcome. Lunch was served by Mrs. Harold Hudie, Mrs. Keith Reck, and Mrs. Graeme' Craig. BOUNDARY & 17111 UNIT Mrs. Ross. Bennett was hostess for the November meeting of the unit on Wednesday evening at her home. Mrs. Barry Hoegy opened with a thought on remem- brance. Mrs. Cliff Hoegy gave a reading "He died for me". A story followed on Singapore showing some of the pro- gress that has been made Since the fast war. Mrs. Gragme Craig pre- sided for the business. Min- ules were read by. Mrs. Helen. Williamson. There were 13 ladies present. Mrs. B. Hoegy 'gave the treasur- er's report followed by mis- cellinealis fund given by Mrs. H. Johnston. All units are to attend the U.C.W. Christrhas meeting on Debember 3 beginning with a pot luck supper. December 14 is Men's Sun- day. The quilt committee displayed two quilts, ready for "sale. Einerson Isifitchell and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Fraser spent a couple days at the Royal Winter Fair, Torentos this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Don Maier and Paul, Thamesford, spent Saturday at the home 'of her _parents, Mr and Mrs. Dave Watson.. Mr. 'and Mrs. Roily Achilles visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Achilles and' family. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Haase, Sault Ste. Marie spent a few days this past week with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Torrance Dundas and Mr. • and Mrs. Norman Schade were on a three day bus trip recently to Pittsburg, Penn. Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Payne, Windsor spent Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Beatrice Payne. Mr. „ and Mrs. Wayne Rolph, Mitchell visited with, Mrs. Jean Broadfoot, Satur- day afternoon. 'CHURCH NEWS Mrs. Gordon Mitchell was guest soloist at the Sunday morning service at Duff's United Church, Mrs. Ray Huether was organist. Mrs. Emerson Mitchell play- ed a violin selection, Amaz- ing Grace. Dates to remember: Bible Study to be Sunday, Novem- ber 30th at 10 a.m. instead of Monday evening. Sunday evening November 30, a special presentation at the musical „"Its tool in the furnace" sponsored by the combined youth and senior choir from Londesboro church. Time 8 o'clock. Veira McDonald opened with• a poem. Lynne Davies presented a devotional' reading, "What can I do for 'World Peace?" indicating a Christian can dedicate his life in service and sacrifice to God and to pray for all men. Vera McDonald read the poem, "In Flanders Field" by John McCrea. . Melva Fraser presided for the business. Minutes were read by Mrs. Davies.
