She waS in her 88th year, She was born in Stanley Township, on August 23, 1893, daughter of the late David Mireau and Ros alee OnWette. She was pre- deceased by her husband William ThOmpson on January 23,1964. 'She resid- ed in Morris Township and Winghani after their marriage and 'in 1968 she Moved to Goderich: She was a member of St. Peter's Ronian Catholic Church. Surviving are her children, Mrs. Jay (Makine) Downers` of Mt. Dora, Florida;' Bernice of 'Goderich and Mrs. Doh' (Verna) Johnson of Calgary and a son Joe of Pitt Meadows, B.C. She was predeceased by one son Jim. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The body was at the McCallum Funeral Home, Goderich until Thursday, Septeniber 18 when funeral mass was held at St, Peter's Roman Catholic Church with Rev. A.P. Loebach officiat- ing. Burial followed in Col- borne. Pallbearers were Lorne Archer, Willie Mero, Bert Johnston, Chester Mac- Donald, Joe Stokes and Bert Russel. Flowerbearers were grandsons Douglas and Danny Thompson.
