sister Mrs. Stuart McNair.
Mr. and Mrs. poward
Mitchell are spending a few
days' with their family in
Thorold.
Mrs. Glen Crawford and
children visited on Sunday
with Mr. and. Mrs. Murray
Crawford.
Mrs. Don Jacklin, Tracy
and. Danny and friend of St.
Clements were Sunday visit-
ors with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Earl Dunn.
Edmonton, Alta., six grand-
children and three great-
granddlildren. One sister,
Miss Bessie Davidson of
Seaforth, and numerous
nieces and nephews , also
survive. He was predeceased
by his parents, four sisters,
two brothers and one
daughter-in-law.

On Thursday evening,
September 11 the Squirt ball
team closed up their season
with a family get-togethor,
' fa, thers and the boys.hid a
ball game at the Walton Park
at seven, followed' by lunch
of hot dogs, pop and coffee.

Communion is being ob-
served in Knox Church next
Sunday, Oct. 5 at 9:45 a.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivor
Williams, Regina, attended
the service on Sunday morn-
ing.. His father the late Rev.
W.A. Williams was minister
of Cranbrook and Ethel for a
number of years, moving
from here to Valetta in 1939.

DAVIDSON
On Wednesday,
September 10, 1980 at the
Portage General Hospital,
Sam Davidson, age 89 years,
died. He was the husband of
Marjorie. Davidson of 110 6th
Street N.E., Portage la
Prairie, Manitoba.
Funeral service conducted
by the. Reverend John Old-
ham was held on Friday,
September 12 in the Trimble
Funeral Chapel. Interment
followed in the family plot in
Evergreen Memorial
Gardens.
Mr. Davidson was born at
Walton, Ont. where he grew
up and received his
education. In 1909 he came
to Manitoba where he began
employment with the
Canadian Pacific Railway.
,For 21 years he Was Station
Agent at MacDonald, Man.
In 1951 the couple moved to
Portage la Prairie where Mr.
Davidson retired as station
agent completing 46 years of
service to the C.P.R.
He served as Chairman of
Order of Railroad
Telegraphers for 11 years,
was a member of the Arden
I.O.O.F. Lodge and was a
member of Trinity United
Church.
Survivors include his wife,
the former Marjorie Main
who he married in 1919,
three sons, Ed of Mcdonald,
Ray and his wife Beryl also of
Macdonald and Leonard of

church 29 years ago, from
1942 - 51.
Mrs. Ian Wilbee was
organist when the choir sang
two anthems.
