The family of Mark and
Ellen Armstrong held a re-
union in 'the Women's Insti-
tute Hall on Sunday. There
were 57 'present, 26• great
grandchildretl. Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Keller and family of
RR#1 New Hamburg and Ron
Taylor of St. John's. New-
foundland were the only
members not able to be
present.
Mrs. Frank Workman and
Bob Taylor entertained the
children with contests,
games and a treasure hunt
around the village. Everyone
enjoyed a smorgasbord
dinner after which Bob .
Taylor thanked everyone on
behalf of this year's com-
mittee, himself, Mrs. Frank
Workman and Mrs. Roy ,
Taylor. Next year's cominitt-
ce is to be: Mrs. Larry
Martin, Mrs. Jim. Leishman
Jr. and Mrs. Nelson Dusky.
NEW TEACHER
School commenced on
September 2nd with East
Wawanosh Public School re-
porting an enrolment of 180
pupils, including 19 starting
in kindergarten.
Mrs. Marlene Mcdonald,
who taught in Holmesville
Public School last year, Is
teaching. Grade .'1 in Belgrave
this year.
WMS MEETS
The W.M.S. met at
Knox Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Garner Nicholson pre-
sided and opened with a
poem "Sow the seeds beside
the waters:" The Fall rally
will be held October 8 at
Hensall. Mrs. John McBurn-
ey gave the secretary's re-
port followed by financial
report by Mrs. Youngblut. 20
sick and shut-in visits were
recorded. Mrs. Elizabeth
Fear read two poems. The ,
topic taken by Mrs. Mac
Scott was on the subject of
"Pretense." Roll call, a'
verse on pretense. Scripture
was read by Mrs. McBurney
from Psalm 63. Mrs. Cloakey
closed the meeting with a
prayer.

Mrs. Eileen Canning of
Stratford spent the weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. Norman
Coultes and attended, the
Belgrave Fair.
Mr. and Mrs, Leonard
James were in Toronto on
Sunday. Mrs. Jdmes will
spend the weekend with her
daughter and son-in-law Mr.
and Mrs. Roger Pearson.
Mr. and Mrs, Leslie Vin-
cent of Oakville visited
among relatives during the
weekend and attended the
Belgrave School Fair on Sat-
urday.

Mr. and Mrs. Christopher
Corbett, one of the first
families to settle in -the
Belgrave area, returned on

60th anniversary of 'the Bel- ,
grave, Blyth and Brussels
School Fair.

the time of the first fair
(1920), was presented, with a
bouquet of red roses by some
of her former pupils, at the
Fair on Saturday. .

entered by S.S. No. 7 East

parents Mr. and Mrs. Garner
