In last week's, issue of the
Post the names of Mr. and.
Mrs, Alive Higgins and Mr.
and Mrs, Jack. Higgins, all of.
Brussels, were Omitted from
those attending the Labor
Day reunion at the home of
,Mr. and Mrs. Maurice
Cameron.
Mrs. Wilfred Stricklesr
opened the September meet-
ing of the W.M.S. at the
home of Mrs. Clara Veitch,
with a poem and "All Things
Bright and Beautiful" was
sung. The scripture, John 4:
31-42 .was read in unision
with the meditation by Mrs.
Earl Dunn. The secretary
Mrs. Jack Knight read the
minutes and correspondence
The executive will meet in
Stratford on October 14 and
the Fall Conference is on
Wed. October 22. The duties
of the nominating committee
were discussed and Mrs.
Fischer and Mrs. Jack.
Knight were named to work
with the president.
Fourteen Member§ an-
swered the roll call by telling
where they started to school
and naming their first
teacher. Verses pertaining to
school and learning were also
given.
Mrs. Jim Hart gave the
treasurer's report and cards
and visits were recorded by
Mrs. Stan Fischer. Several
members paid their birthday
money. "God who made the
earth" was sung. Mrs. gee.
Smith gave the topic on
"Home" telling of many
kinds of homes and their
influence on a family. Offer-
ing was presented and "We
give Thee but Thine, own"
was sung.
Mrs. Earl Dunn presided
for a brief meeting of the
Ladies Aid when Mrs, Clare
Veitch was appointed trea-
surer to replace Mrs. Geo.
Smith who will 'be moving in
the near future, It was deckl-
ed to purchase one dozen
Bibles suitable for use in the
Sunday .school. Mrs. Hart
and Mrs. Fred Smith assist-
ed the hoAess with lunch.
Misses Donna Hart and
Carol. Lougheed took part in
a 4-H exchange recently.
Carol, whose ,heme is in. Red
Deer, Alberta, spent ten
days at the Hart home and
Donna spent ten days at
Carol's home in Red Deer.
A number of
members were guests of the
Monkton group on Sept. 9,
when they celebrated their
90th anniversary, All enjoyed
a smorgasbord meal followed
by the meeting when the
history of their W.M,S. was
given by Mrs. Ken Brown.
Mrs. Mae Harvey of North
Mornington sang the solo
"The Stranger of Galilee".
Mrs. Clare Veitch, Presby-
terial visitor, also took part. A
decorated birthday cake was
served with ice-cream, and
tea and a social time followed
viewing pictures etc.

time the past week with her
pen friend, of nearly 40 years
at Toronto and Nagara. Her
pen friend and husband Mr.
and Mrs. David Hart' of
Toddington, England are on
their way to Victoria B.C. '
This is the first time the: two
