posing of empty pesticide
containers.
Who's responsible for the
'pesticide containers left a-
long a ditch or stream bank?
These containers are the
responsibility of the person
who has left them exposed' to
the enviroinnent. Any pro-
blems such as contamination
fall back on the owner. The
person leaving these contain-
ers on the roadside is also
liable to prosecution for
improper disposal of contain-
ers. Pesticide containers
must be either punctured or
broken and buried in at least
50 cm (20 inches) of soil away
from the water table or water
course.

at the Tasker Funeral Home,
Blyth for Mrs. Andrew Kirk-
connell, Friday, Aug. 15. She
died suddenly at her home in
Auburn Aug. 12th in her 74th
year.
, The.former Elizabeth Ellen
'Daer, she was the daughter
of the late Samuel Daer and
Mary Turberville. She was
born in Hullett Township and
attended _".S.S. No 5 Hullett.
In 1927 she was married to
Andrew Kirtconnell and re-
sided in Blyth. They moved
to Hullett TownShip until
they retire4 about 20 years
ago and moved to Auburn:
She was a member of St.
Mark's Anglican Church, the
, Anglican Church Women
