'AIR CONDITIONED FOR YOUR COMFORT Blyth "s St. Sam to tour this spring Ted Johns' play St. Sam Of The Nuke Pile will tour Southwestern Ontario in the spring of 1981, Janet Amos, artistic director of the Blyth Summer Festival, recently , announced. The play is cur- ; rently running at the Blyth Summer Festival and has been well-received by critics and audiences alike. There has been interest in the play from the Ontario Hydro and - anti-nuclear groups alike The tour will take place in _ March and April of 1981, and will possibly include a Tor- , onto run. St. Sam Of The Nuke Pile is set in and around the Bruce Nuclear Power Devel- opment in Kincardine, Mac- lean's Magazine said of the play: "St. Sam is a factual, tour de force in the tradition of Shaw and Brecht that , teaches the audience more about nuclear reactors than they will learn in a lifetime, yet it manages to thoroughly entertain at the same time." Doug. Bale of the Free Press , said, "a first-rate production' . . . Ted Johns has written a play that strikes universal themes:" • Ten Johns is also the; author of The Death Of The Donnellys, which played at' Bluth in 1979 and. The School , Show which premiered at Blyth in 1978. The Schooll Show, in which Mr. Johns is; the sole performer, made an extremely successful tour in 7 the spring of 1979. It played to full houses throughout: Southwestern Ontario and I ran in Toronto for three weeks. Mr. Johns is also known for his performance in He Won't Come In From The Barn in Toronto and at the Blyth Summer Festival in 1977. After the noon meal, a short business period was con- ducted by Ross Stephenson with Jean Bewley as secret- ary. The next reunion will be held 'Aug.' 16, 1981 in Sea- forth. • Ross Stephenson and Bill , Young were re-elected as Prs. and Vice-Pres. Marian Young, secretary; Susan and Bert Buffinga, lunch conveners` and. Bob and Donna Mitchell will be in charge of program and sports. New members of the clan attending the reunion were: Michelle Blake, daughter of Paul arid Debbie Blake; Doug Bauer, who married Sheila Burke June 21 and Doug McClinchey, Karen Young's fiancee.
