' Thank you, card was read from George and Annie Treasurer's report was , given by Mrs. Barry Hoegy and the miscellaneous fund was given by Mrs. H. John- ston. Mrs. G. Craig reported on what had been done at the manse. The unit is in charge , of the devotions at the general U.C.W. meeting on September 4. Anniversary services will be held on September 21 with Rev. Hazelwood as guest minister,. An evening of gospel music with the Reid Sellwood Singers is plannec at Duff's Church on October 9 with tickets available from U.C.W. members. The next meeting in Sept- ember is to be held at the home of Mrs. George; Williamson. ' Mrs. , H. Johnson closed ' the meeting with prayer. Lunch followed. PERSONALS Missess Allison and Leslie Traviss of Waterloo spent last week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Traviss while their, just south of Thomas Street at '7:30 p.m. The driver attempted to pass another vehicle, lost control on the gravel, left the east side of the roadway and struck a hydro pole. 'Keifer, 17 of R.R. 1, Ethel has been charged with careless driving following an accident in which his car struck a hydro pole on Sunday, August 17. The accident which left many Brussels residents without hydro for approxi- mately an hour and a half occurred on James Street, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Currie and Jamie of' Brampton and, Mr. and. Mrs. John Currie, Cheryl and Rhonda, Linda Ferrier and Frank McAlpine of Orangeville : spent the weekend camping at Family Paradise Park.
