Market steady at Brussels The market at Brussels Stockyards traded steady on heifers, steers sold lower and pigs were steady. There were 1015 cattle and 1938 pigs on offer. Choice Steers - 80.00 to 82.00 with sales to 82.75. Good Steers - 78.00 to 80.00. Two steers consigned by Bob Alexander of Ethel aver- aging 1275 lbs. sold for 82.75 with his lot of 15 steers averaging 1367 lbs. selling for an overall price of 81.20. A steer consigned by Dave Wheeler of Brussels weigh- ing 1320 lbs. sold for 82.00 with his lot of 14 steers averaging 1182 lbs. selling for an overall price of 81.00. Twenty-eight steers con- signed by Maple Emblem Farms of Dungannon sold for the overall price of 80.65. Eighteen steers consigned by Morrison Bros., of Luck- now averaging 1196 lbs. sold for an overall price of 80.45. Eleven steers consigned by Leo Deitner of Ethel averaging 1170 lbs. sold for an overall price of 80.45. Choice Heifers - 76.00 to 80.00. Good Heifers - 73.00 to 76.00. A heifer consigned by Doug McPherson of Wing- ham weighing 1110 lbs. sold for 80.00 with his lot of 12 heifers averaging 904 lbs. selling for 77.20. Four heifers consigned by Grant McDonald of Ripley averaging 970 lbs. sold for 80.00 with his load of 50 heifers averaging 978 lbs. selling for an overall price of 79.10. A heifer consigned by Neil Rintoul of Lucknow weighing 970 lbs. sold for 79.00 with his lot of 5 heifers averaging 1002 lbs. selling for 77.70. Fifty heifers consigned by Henry Farms of Blyth mainly light herefords averaging 918 lbs. sold for an overall price of 76.50. Choice Cows - 55.00 to 58.00 with sales to 63.00. Good cows - 52.00 to 55.00. Canners & Cutters - 49.00 to 52.00.
