BODMIN MISS COLONEL 165L X WITH ANNE PROCTER AT THE
HALTER — A high.indexing yearling May Heifer won 1st prize in a
strong class of over 30 Females for Bodmin Limited, R.R.5, Brussels, at
the 1980 World Shorthorn Congress Show held at Calgary Alberta on July
8th. Entries in the International Shorthorn Show came from British
Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec and the Maritime
Provinces in' Canada as well as a strong entry of Shorthorns from U.S.A.
and-Britian. The sire of Bodmin Miss Colonel 165LX is the herd sire at
John A. Currie's new Shorthorn herd at R.R.#3, Wingham.
Dave Eadie of R.R. 5, Dool 'in and Ron, Falls as
Whi 'm paying $1100.00 for guests in their home while
the highest selling bull, Dick and Awril Gloster stayed
Malchom MacGregor from for two days with Mr. and
Agriculture Canada bought a Mrs. George Procter at R.R.
,high, indeiing heifer for the 5, Brussels. •

Ontario Shorthorn Herds by
Ross Procter, before leaving
Ontario on their way back to
Australia.
Market steady at Brussels
The market at Brussels
Stockyards traded steady on
heifers, steers sold lower and
pigs were steady. There were
1015 cattle and 1938 pigs on
offer.
Choice Steers - 80.00 to
82.00 with sales to 82.75.
Good Steers - 78.00 to
80.00.
Two steers consigned by
Bob Alexander of Ethel aver-
aging 1275 lbs. sold for 82.75
with his lot of 15 steers
averaging 1367 lbs. selling
for an overall price of 81.20.
