Fire destroyed a barn, 80 bushels, of grain
and 15 acres of hay that was in the, barn on a
farm owned by Donald Perrie located on Lot
12, Concession 12 of Grey Township on
Friday.
Mrs. Perrie said there was a hot spot in one
of the forage wagons when she " was
unloading it into the blower but by the time
she saw the spark in the forage wagon, the
fire had already gone into the blower and up
into the barn.
After the fire started at about 3 p.in. the
forage wagon was pulled away and partially
unloaded onto the ground -to burn out.
Donald Perrie was brought in from the field
and he had time to get the tractor' off the
blower.
Also destroSred in the fire was the forage
blower and pipes. •

give a cost estimate.on the damage.
On Saturday, 10 farmers from the area

Perrie's other barn since the Perries didn't
have the equipment to do it themselves. One
man even left his business in Brussels to

the old Bluevale hall or to erect an entirely
new, building at a public meeting held there
Thursday night.
The meeting had been called following
an engineering inspection from Art Clark
who told the meeting that on a walk-
through inspection he was asked a number
of cluestions.
1The first, question-had to do
with whether the building was structurally
adequate in its present form.. His answer
was that he thought'the floor and roof
would require some upgrading to meet the
Ontario Building " Code standards. The
second question was in regard to what the
community planned to do with the hall. He
suggested that in present plans there were
too many duplications of services with
kitchen and bathrooms both upstairs-and
downstairs.
He suggested the community should
look at the cost of a new building and do' an
