Mrs. Wm. A. Smith was hostess for a shower in honour of Miss Erna Betcka of Listowel on Wednesday evening, who received sheets, pillowslips, bath towels, tea towels and crystal. Fifteen friends of Erna attended. Mrs. Lloyd Felker and Mrs.- Glad. Edgar assisted the hostess, Erna made a suit- able reply. Mr. and Mrs, Melville Dennis were in Kitchener at the weekend, attending the wedding of their grandson, Allan „Lewis, son of Mrs. Frances Lewis and the late Almon Lewis, and .
