Mary Bakelas.r, daughter of' Mr. rand Mrs. James
Bakelaar of R.R.5 Brussels and Peter Slotegraai, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Sid Slotegraaf of Clinton were married at the
Blyth Christian Reformed Church on Saturday, May 30.
Rev. A. -Dieleman officiated at the'gouble ring ceremony at
which the brick was given away by her father. The maid of
honor was - Ester Htlinink of Calgary,: Alberta and
bridesmaids were Cathy Bakelaar of Brussels, sister of the
bride, and Joanne yan Amersfoort of Blyth; sister of the
bride. The groomsman was Abe de Mooy of Ednionton,
Alberta and the usher was Don Bakelaar of Brussels,
brother of the bride. The organist was Mrs. Jake Bakelaar,
aunt of the bride and the 'soloist waS.Mis. Jack Slotegraaf.
A reception was held at the. Blyth' arena and guests
attending the wedding came from New Jersey; Goderich,
Clinton, `Lucknow, Kitchener, a LOndoni Calgary And
Edmonton Alberta. ,FolloWing a wedding trip to Eastern
Ontario, the couple will reside at R.R.2, Clinton.
The bride is 'a gtaddate of Conestoga Ccillege,"Kitchener
and, the groom is a graduate of Fanshawe College, London.
Also attending;the. wedding,were ihe.,bride's grandparents
Mr. and Mrs. Don Brninsina.• of Clinton and her
grandmother' Mrs. .T4C. Bakelaar.
BUCKLER—COOPER
Connie Lee Cooper,: daughter of• Mr. and Mrs.
-William Cooper of Listowel and, Aldon Ericauckler, son of
A•ldon Campbell Buckler and • Betty Marie Aitchison, of
iHighgate, Ontario, were married June 21, at' Brusseld
United, Church, with Reverend Eric LeDrew officiating.
The bride was given away by William John Cooper. The
maid of honour was Pat Buick of Kitchener: Bridesmaids
were Linda and Monique Roder of Strathroy and Pat
.Cooper of Kitchener. The groomsman was Bruce. Currie of
Listowel, and the ushers were Christopher Garton and
Kevin and Darn Jewel, all from Ridgetown. The flower
girl was Kelly Cooper and the,ringbearer was Chad. Roder.
Following the wedding- a supper was held at the Queens
'Hotel in Brussels. The reception was held at the Brussels
Royal Canadian Legion. The couple will live in Brussels.
